Welcome Students and Parents to 3rd grade!!!
I am very excited about the upcoming year.

 Education:

This will be my 4th year teaching 3rd grade at River Breeze.  I graduated with my Associate in Arts Degree from SJRCC here in Palatka.  Then I received my Bachelor‘s Degree in Elementary Education from St. Leo University.  I plan to begin My Master’s Degree next summer at Walden University.  I am currently completing my Reading Endorsement and Gifted Endorsement through NEFEC in Palatka.  

Family: 

I am blessed with 2 wonderful children (who are growing up too fast!!).  Hannah is 13 and in 8th grade at Jenkins Middle School.  Brendan is 11 and in 6th grade at Jenkins.  This will be my first year teaching at River Breeze without either of my kids being here!!  I am a middle child.  My older sister, Amy moved to Palatka a few years ago.  Her oldest son, George lives in Michigan and is getting married very soon.  Her younger son, Cody is in 8th grade at Beasley Middle School.  My younger sister lives in Palatka and is a 6th grade teacher at Jenkins Middle School.  She has 2 daughters and a son.  Rowland is 15 and in 10th grade at PHS.  Emma is 6 years old & in 1st grade at Kelley Smith.  Ashley is 4 & in Pre-K at Storybook Cottage.  

Extras:

  I love watching Football…. Go Gators & Jags!!!! Also love music and art.  I believe both are important in the classroom, and I try to incorporate both into my students' learning.  In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, & respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students & I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers.  I believe that great things can happen when we work together!  River Breeze is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community & part of a winning team.
